So Everquest 2. Or Evercrack as it is sometimes known is one of the most addictive games on the planet. Well, it can be. It is certainly a game that you can immerse yourself in, that if you are not careful whole days have gone past before you take a break and look up.
It is a game that, the more you care about your characters, the more immersed in the game you get. You can "power level". There are videos floating around YouTube showing players power-levelling from 1 to 50 within 24 hours. But sometimes you have to wonder whether that is missing the point.
Me personally, as soon as I am able to, I switch the amount of xp gain down to a minimum and try to enjoy each of the zones as you level. If you level too quickly, before you know it, whole zones are greyed out and you have missed out on great story and great adventure.
So why this blog? Why not? I want to write about Everquest 2. The game, the zones, the creatures, the quests. A cross between a complete how-to guide, a travelog and some thoughts on how the game fits and works together.
